Die Stiftung für Leberkrankheiten unterstützt Forschung sowie Aus- und Weiterbildungen in Diagnostik und Therapie von Leberkrankheiten an der Medizinischen Fakultät Bern.

- According to its framework, the Swissliver Foundation only finances hepatology projects at the University of Bern that are effected in the Canton of Bern.
- Applications can be submitted for salaries / salary support, project related material costs, equipment costs and continuing education or professional development.
- To apply for funding, please complete the Funding Application, and submit it together with your professional CV to info@swissliver.ch.
- Latest submission for current year’s applications is 28th February.
- An external Scientific Advisory Panel will review all applications in early March and make recommendations on the merits of the applications.
- Viable applicants will be invited to present their project and budget request during the next Annual Board Meeting (approximately 5 minutes presentation and 5 minutes of Q&A).
- The Annual Board Meeting usually takes place in Bern between April and June.
- Successful applicants will be informed of the outcome within two weeks after the meeting.
- Applicants will prepare yearly progress reports to be presented at the Annual Board Meeting and to be disseminated on the Swissliver website.
- A final report is due within 2 months after the end of the project period. This report will be published on the Swissliver website.
- Support from the Foundation must be acknowledged in all publications.
